Darra Lynn Rayndon
Darra Lynn Rayndon, a Member of the firm, has over thirty years of practice experience and is certified as a tax specialist by the Arizona Bar. Ms. Rayndon received her J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, Madison, Wisconsin and her LL.M. (Tax) degree from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C. Ms. Rayndon's work includes tax planning, business entity formation and representation including corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and other businesses, estate and wealth succession planning, asset protection, exempt private offerings, and real estate matters. She is also a Certified Fiduciary through the Arizona Supreme Court, and as such, serves as trustee and in other fiduciary capacities when called upon.
Ms. Rayndon has served as pro bono legal counsel and board member for a variety of non-profit and charitable organizations. For her volunteer efforts with tax-exempt entities, Ms. Rayndon was the recipient of the Affordable Housing Program Pro Bono Award given in 1995 by the Arizona Bar Foundation. Ms. Rayndon is presently a member of the State Bar of Arizona Tax Section, the Central Arizona Estate Planning Council, the Current Tax Discussion Group, and the Women Presidents' Organization. Darra also serves on the Desert Botanical Garden Planned Giving Committee. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the Arizona Supreme Court.
A frequent lecturer, Ms. Rayndon is regularly invited to speak at seminars on estate planning and taxation, domestic and off-shore asset protection, and corporate issues. Ms. Rayndon has published articles in national tax journals and taught graduate level tax courses.
